Zumba - Ditch the Workout, Join the PARTY! Zumba® Fitness is the Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and easy-to-follow, contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive. Options are always provided for low- or high- impact preferences. Our instructor is always available before or after class for questions or more help!
Crunch-4-Lunch - This class is perfect for squeezing in a lunchtime workout without having to worry about getting (too) sweaty before heading back to work! Focusing on back and abdominal exercises, you will get the blood pumping while building those essential core muscles. Leave feeling strong and energized to tackle the rest of your day!
Tai Chi / Qigong - Tai Chi/Qigong is an ancient Chinese fitness system designed to build energy, develop strength, increase flexibility, and promote relaxation. The exercises include a variety of calisthenics, gentle movements coordinated with the breath, and standing meditation. While the traditional practice is several thousand years old, modern science is studying Qigong for its health benefits and as a possible treatment for a variety of disorders from arthritis to high blood pressure.
Body Toning - Experience the fabulous burn of a complete strength training routine! Each class will incorporate moves to tone all the major muscle groups in your body. A great way to get fit and lean in a fun group setting!
Mat Pilates - Mat Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Mat Pilates emphasizes use of the abdominals, lower back, hips and thighs. To add variety to the class, small hand weights, small balls, and/or resistance tubing may be used.
Extreme Monday Mix - Need a little extra motivation to get you through your Monday? How about adding in pan element of surprise by attending the Extreme Monday Mix-Up at 5:30pm on the first floor of the AWG Studio! Workouts will vary in theme, but never in intensity! Themes might include: Circuit Training, Plyometrics (jump training), Kickboxing, along with some resistance and core training. So, come prepared to have fun, break a sweat and burn mega calories!!!
Core/Cardio - Core/Cardio offers 45 minutes of cardio plyometrics (fast, powerful movements) with intervals of strength training, utilizing hand weights and/or resistance tubing, with a strong focus on the core. This is a real power punch for the abdominals, while working to develop your cardio endurance.
Yoga - Kellie teaches a blending of several Hatha Yoga styles based in mindfulness, particularly focusing on the needs of her students. During class individuals explore breathing, range of motion, balance, movement, yoga postures and flows, relaxation and meditation. Individuals have the opportunity to learn, explore, and tune in to what it is he/she may need to feel more balanced and whole.
